Crowds Major Update: More Control. Better Targeting.

We’ve rolled out a new set of enhancements to Crowds designed to give you more control over your audience, clearer visibility into who you’re targeting, and better insight into how your campaigns perform.

This Crowds update builds on the power of intelligent segmentation, making it easier to refine audiences, combine segments, and understand exactly who received your message and why.

What’s New for Crowds

1. More Precision with the New Demographics Tab

You now have access to a new Demographics tab, allowing you to layer in more refined audience filters when building your Crowds.

Available segments include:

  • Young Adults (18-24)
  • Family Buyers (25-49)
  • Prospect Buyers (35+)
  • Male
  • Female
  • Prefer not to answer (default when no value is set)

This added layer of targeting helps you create more relevant campaigns by aligning your message with specific audience profiles.

2. Combine Audiences with Multiple Operators

With Multiple Crowd Operators, you can now combine up to three Crowds or Lists using:

  • AND to narrow your audience
  • OR to expand your reach
  • EXCLUDE to remove specific segments

This gives you significantly more flexibility when building audiences, whether you’re refining high-intent buyers or excluding recent purchasers from a promotion.

Example: If you want to narrow your audience to nearby fans who consistently engage with your texts, while excluding last-minute buyers to focus on planners, you can achieve this by combining three targeted crowds:

“Local Fans AND Highly Engaged EXCLUDE Last Minute Buyers”

3. See Exactly Who’s in Your Crowd

Every Crowd now includes a View Contacts button, so you can instantly see who’s included in that segment. No more guesswork or blind sends, just full transparency into your audience before you launch a campaign.

4. Turn Crowds into Snapshot Lists

Need a static version of your audience? You can now create Snapshot Lists directly from the View Contacts screen.

  • Capture a Crowd at a specific moment in time
  • Convert it into a standard list
  • Export it when needed from the Contacts interface

This makes it easier to share audiences, track specific campaign groups, or maintain records for reporting.

5. Clearer Campaign History Reporting

Campaign reporting now shows the exact Crowds used in targeting, such as:

Crowd A OR Crowd B

This added visibility makes it much easier to audit past campaigns, understand how audiences were built, and replicate successful strategies moving forward.
