Product Update: Custom Fields + Dynamic Fields, now in one place

We’ve simplified how Contact Fields work in Vozzi!

Previously, Custom Fields were limited to Mass Messaging and Dynamic Fields were limited to 1-on-1 Messaging. That split created confusion around where fields could be used.

Now, everything is unified. All Contact Fields can be created, managed, and used everywhere! Mass messages, 1-on-1 conversations, templates, and automation.

This update brings everything together into one consistent system across the entire platform.


Important: One-Time Action Required First

Before we dive in, there’s one important step some customers will need to take. If you currently use Dynamic Field default values, you will need to re-set them.

Because default values are now managed inside the new Contact Fields interface:

  • Existing Dynamic Field default values will not automatically carry over
  • You must visit Settings → Contact Fields and re-set default values for any fields you rely on (such as first name, last name, email, etc.)

This is a one-time action to ensure your messages continue personalizing correctly. 

 

What’s New: Contact Fields

1. A New Contact Fields Settings Area

You’ll now find a dedicated Contact Fields tab under Settings.

This is your single source of truth for:

  • Creating, editing, and deleting Custom Fields
  • Managing default values for native fields (formerly Dynamic Fields)
  • Mapping or unmapping CRM fields
  • Viewing a combined list of all available fields

No more fragmented management across different parts of the platform.

  1. One Field System, Everywhere

All Contact Fields, both native and custom, are now available in:

  • Mass Messages
  • 1-on-1 Conversations
  • Templates
  • Automation & message builders

That means the same personalization logic works across every message type.

Whether you’re sending a large campaign or having a direct conversation, your fields behave the same way.

  1. Cleaner, Simpler UI

To reduce confusion and duplication:

  • Custom Field management has been removed from the Contacts page
  • Dynamic Field management has been removed from 1-on-1 Messaging
  • All field configuration now lives exclusively in Settings → Contact Fields

This makes it easier for you to manage, now all in one place!

 

Native Fields Available by Default

Every Vozzi account will have the following native fields available for configuration and use:

  • Contact First Name
  • Contact Last Name
  • Contact Email Address
  • Contact External ID
  • Sender First Name
  • Sender Last Name

These can now be managed alongside your custom fields inside the new unified interface.

 

This update removes the friction of managing fields in multiple places and makes personalization consistent everywhere you send messages in Vozzi. When you create or update a field, you can trust it will work the same way across campaigns, conversations, templates, and automation.
